Malcolm X

Malcolm X was a minister of the Islamic Church. He was also a spokesman for it. He was no fond of the March on Washington, and that is an understatement. He said that it was "run by whites in front of a statue of a president who has been dead for a hundred years and who didn't like us when he was alive." Later that year when someone asked him about J.F.K.'s assassination he said that it was just "the chickens coming home to roost," and that "chickens coming home to roost never made me sad. It only made me glad." The Islamic Church did not like what he said at all and publicly criticized him. He also wasn't allowed to make a public speech for 90 days.
