Profumo Affair

The Profumo Affair was when John Profumo, the British Secretary of State for War, had an affair with Christine Keeler. Later when he was questioned in the House of Commons, he totally lied about the whole affair. This resulted in him resigning. Also, the Prime Minister of Britain, Harold Macmillan's reputation was messed up, and was viewed as not a very trustworthy person because of his choice of Secretary of State for War.
