Sputnik

Sputnik: On October 4. 1957 the first satellite to orbit into space. It was sent there by Soviet Union and was the first satellite to go among many others in the Sputnik Program. The importance of this was that is initiated the start over the race to dominate the space. The Sputnik1 gave the world a great opportunity to observe the atmosphere and five some meteorite detection. On January 4, 1958 the satellite caught on fire because it was falling in the earth’s orbit.
