Zhou En Lai

Zhou En-Lai: In 1949 when the People’s Republic of China was created Zhou took the role as a Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 1957 he survived an attempted suicide carried out by the nationalistic Kuomintang. Zhou played a very big part in the ascending of the Communist Party, he was also a great help in recreating the society and the building the economy in China. Zhou died on January 8, 1976 because of bladder cancer. (Akash)
